Syria edged out Japan 2-1 on the qualifying match for London Olympics 2012.
Syria's Ahmad Al Salih's made a superb last minute strike on Sunday ended the unbeaten run of Blue Samurai.
Now,Syria has topped Group C three points clear off Japan with only two games remaining.
Only the group winners are guaranteed automatic qualification.Syria next travel to Manama on February 22, while Japan take on Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

Ahmad Hazwan Bakri appeared to have earned Malaysia a first point of the campaign after cancelling out Mohamed Tayeb Al Alawi's 25th minute opener
with five minutes remaining at the National Stadium in Manama, only for Farhan to hit back for Bahrain three minutes later.


Similarly,in Group A, Korea Republic remained a point clear of Oman at the top of the table after Kim Bo-kyung struck in stoppage time in Dammam to
earn a 1-1 draw against Saudi Arabia.

And Oman shared a 2-2 draw with Qatar.

Finally, Uzbekistan secured a first appearance at the Olympic Games after beating Australia 2-0.
The UAE moved into second place after beating Iraq 1-0.On Matchday Five, Iraq will face Uzbekistan in their adopted home of Doha,
 while Australia face the UAE in Abu Dhabi.
